With only 4 days to go to the biggest event South Africa, and Africa have ever seen, i wanted to share some 'GEES' moments with you from around our area and what we have experienced in the last few days.

For those of you not fluent in one of our 11 official languages , GEES is the Afrikaans word for spirit and i would say most of South Africa is in the GEES of things already!

My mom and megs were forunate enough to see the Team Usa bus arriving at their Lodge in Irene, and then we saw them the next day preparing for a press conference at Irene Dairy. We also have the Italian team saying at a hotel a few minutes from us and the German team about 15 minutes away - so there is lots of GEES in our area! And we are "star " gazing each time we pass these specific areas to see what we can see!

I cant believe its finally here - i remember the exact moment they announced South Africa would host the cup , as if it were yesterday.

There are so many things about our beautiful country i know that the world is going to love

- THE PEOPLE - mixing so many cultures together is an experience to say the least - we are all so different , but are all united through this world cup and hopefully beyond

- THE MUSIC - the most awesome, unique sounds will welcome the world - the most unforgetable being the vuvuzela. We have the most amazing music artists which will guarantee you leave with at least 5 cds to take home!!

- THE ANIMALS - our majestic big 5, where else in the world can you experience them so close and get to see them in their own kingdom, not forgetting our beautiful sea life too

- THE SCENERY - a spectacular variety of majestic table mountain, to Gods Window - to the bush in all its glory

- THE FOOD - wow, are you all in for a treat, some things may be considered a treat or delicacy to some but not to others, like the mabpane worms, but hey you got to try everything once! Boere kos is divine to say the least, and you cant beat a good old braai!

-THE "GEES" - we are beyond excited and we all stand united to give the world the most unforgetable world cup it has ever seen

I am so proud to be a South African, its Ayoba time, IT IS HERE!!!!
