ReplyDeleteHow can I adequately thank you all for the vital role you all played in ensuring the roaring success that was Grandpa's 80th birthday luncheon last Saturday.
My darling Samm, your hours and hours of time, energy, effort and love that was invested in creating the magnificent slide presentation as a tribute to 80 years of Grandpa's life is immeasurable and as such is a trulypriceless gift ! Thank you also for all the help with the ribbons, beading, and final decisions re decor ! Thank you my dearest, kind Mark for all the help & creative ideas for the presentation and for coming to our rescue when Conrad and Meg's projector fuse "blew" the night before the event. We are so very grateful that it took only one call and you had secured us another projector so that the all important presentation could be viewed by all the family. Our grateful thanks to Charles for his generosity. Thanks to you both for the wonderful ideas for the wording for the plaque (I loved them and used them all !!!!!!. Thanks for all your help on Saturday morning darling Samm from collecting the ballons, helping me set up the decor and keeping me calm at some challenging times !!!! The end result was certainly worth all the energy and effort we had invested in the weeks, planning and preparing for this important event. Thank you my precious Deqlan for charming everyone at the party and for helping us sing "Happy Birthday" and "Hooray" and for helping Big Grandpa blow out all the candles on his cake. What an important job you did. Your beautiful, smiling little face popping around my seat at the table, every so often during the afternoon, filled me with such great joy ! Thanks to the lovely Logan for being the "watch lady" and warning us of Big Grandpa's arrival so we could all get ready for our surprise. Thanks for also playing with Deqlan and Keaton and keeping them occupied.
I am so very blessed to have had all this love, kindness, support, help and encouragement. I could NOT have done this without the magnificent help of every single one of you. Grandpa has said that his birthday luncheon celebration was one of the best days of his 80 year old life ! He felt our pride, our love and our joy, and he knew, without doubt, what a blessing he has always been, is, and will always be in our family ! Wasn't this the ultimate aim of it all ???
